Unsettled Scores Records is proud to announce the presale of its next release The New York Graffiti Experience 1976 by Fenton Lawless.

The New York Graffiti Experience 1976 is a short documentary directed by Fenton Lawless, one of the earliest on film to capture the New York Graffiti scene, featuring works by a number of legendary graffiti writers including Blade, Billy 167, Comet and Cliff 156, the latter is interviewed in the film and also provided the illustrations used for the cover of this release.

The documentary started life in 1974/1975 as a slideshow by Fenton Lawless and Justine DiIanni, the film's producer, including original photographs and backed by the song French Fry 97, which was later used for the full documentary as well as other music previously recorded in 1974 by Fenton and his band.

The musical styles on this soundtrack vary wildly from Funk, Disco, Jazz, Rock, Folk and Country. All the music has been previously unreleased until now so Unsettled Scores Records are beyond happy to be releasing The New York Graffiti Experience 1976 as a 3 track vinyl 7” and 6 track digital album.

Unsettled Scores Records is very proud to announce its debut release, TRACY SONG by DAVID CHALFANT.

Back in 2002 the classic 1983 New York graffiti documentary STYLE WARS was released as a 2 DVD set, within’ the extra content there was a section called “Classic Hits” from Tracy 168 featuring super 8 footage of many legendary mid 70’s graffiti writers. The music playing over this section had vinyl collectors scratching their heads for years saying “what is that amazing track”… that amazing track was TRACY SONG. This funky Latin Rock killer was recorded by David Chalfant (son of Style Wars producer Henry Chalfant) especially for the Classic Hits footage, this song can best be described as The Ghetto Brothers meets Melting Pot by Booker T And The M.G.’s.

TRACY SONG has been completely unavailable until now so Unsettled Scores Records are thrilled to release this future classic on 7” vinyl and digital download.

If that wasn’t enough David Chalfant has kindly recorded a brand new track exclusively for the B-Side of this release, the brilliant “4 Meters”.
